I was born in Bawdsey, Suffolk but now live in Whitstable, Kent. The sea and shoreline both here and in Zandvoort, Holland an inspiration for self expression of visual poetry.
Standing still and capturing moments amidst a hectic and ever changing everyday, my work is not simply a stream of images from a memory card but an emotional response.
Encouraged by landscape photographer, Fay Godwin I studied a BA Hons in Visual Communication at KIAD and graduated with an greater understanding of conceptual thinking and how the camera can be more than simply a light box.
In 2004 I established arthouse in Whitstable with my partner Chris where we combine photography and contemporary art for the home.
My photographic practice is now moving beyond the shoreline to a previously unexplored landscape the results of which have yet to be seen. |
